Big me and little me

In this self portrait, I am holding my younger self and depicting my interests over time. I wanted to express how I have developed, not only in my art but life in general. When I was younger, academics were not my strong point. About 11 years ago, I drew the picture younger me is holding. Art taught me in order to improve, you can’t give up. Little me began applying this lesson to everything in life. This encouraged me to become a Distinguished Academic, and a more confident individual overall.
