Walk of Hope

Acrylic Paint with Collage, 12.00X 16.00 X 0.00 IN

Lack of affordable housing is the leading cause of homelessness. Providing safe shelter and a sense of ‘normal’ is vital. Repurposed shipping containers are converted quickly and affordably into long lasting, comfortable homes. In my painting, a person is portrayed departing a homeless, dark past toward a promising, sheltered future. Dead flowers, an abandoned tent and abused money lay behind the person as they walk toward their future; an inviting home. Focusing on the hands and feet, flowers symbolize hope and change. Bright orange container homes reflect a secure life ahead. Affordable housing is the future and will change the World.
